Youth Fishing Day

Join us on Saturday, May 2, for our annual Youth Fishing Day at Finger Lakes State Park. Bring your kids out for a morning of fishing with park staff on the banks of Peabody Lake. Meet at the beach parking lot.
Prizes will be awarded to participants under the age of 12 for the biggest fish caught, the most fish caught, and the first fish caught. Fishing poles and bait will be provided for the first 30 people who arrive. This event is free and open to all ages.
A valid fishing permit is required for most anglers older than 15 and younger than 65. See Page 4 of the Missouri Department of Conservation's 2026 fishing regulations booklet for more information.
