Remember how much fun summer camp used to be? Ever wish you could go back and do it all again? Well, you can with our Seniors to Parks program! This annual one-day event is designed for seniors and features hands-on activities, classes, and historical crafts and skills.

This year's event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Activities may include basket weaving, watercolor painting, Dutch oven cooking and more. Weather permitting, all activities will take place in the backyard of the historic site. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. 

Seniors to Parks is free for seniors and is co-sponsored by Missouri Parks Association.

Registration and Lunch:

Registration is required and must be completed by Sept. 11, 2026. Please call the historic site at 636-940-3323 to register. 

Lunch will be provided for all registrants.

First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site is located at 200 S. Main St. in downtown St. Charles.
