at Arrow Rock State Historic Site

Arrow Rock State Historic Site is hosting educational programs for elementary school groups this spring. These programs are presented by The Friends of Arrow Rock and are available Tuesday through Friday from April 14 to May 15. Two programs are being offered: (1) Family Life and School Days and (2) Natural and Cultural History of Missouri. 

Both programs are aligned with Missouri learning standards and are suitable for grades one through five. Homeschool groups are welcome to sign up for any date, although the May 13 programs have been reserved for homeschoolers exclusively.

Each participant should bring water and lunch and wear sturdy walking shoes. Visit the official website to learn more and register. 

Dates:

  • Apr 14-17, 21-24, 28-30
  • May 1, 5-8, 12-15
    • The May 13 programs are reserved for homeschool groups.

Times:

  • Start: 9 a.m.
  • End: noon

Fees:

  • Students: $7 apiece
  • Teachers: free
  • Parents: If there is room, any adults not employed by the school can join at a cost of $10 each, cash only.
