Orienteering Program

at Crowder State Park

10/2/2026 | Crowder State Park | Trenton, Mo.

Orienteering is a navigational sport in which participants use a map and a compass to find different waypoints called "controls." During this free event, we will have a temporary orienteering course set up at the park. We will provide essential information about orienteering before sending you out to navigate the course on own or with a group!

Controls will be spread across the park, so you will be required to walk from point to point. Some of the walking will be cross-country. Please dress appropriately, with closed-toe shoes and long pants. Remember to also bring water and insect repellent. Navigational tools will be provided.

Registration is required and must be completed by Friday, Sept. 11. Call the park at 660-359-6473 to register.
