Merrill’s Horse Flag Installation Ceremony

On Nov. 15, the Missouri State Museum will welcome a new entry to its military flags exhibit: the Civil War banner of the 2nd Missouri Cavalry Regiment. You are invited to commemorate the return of this flag and learn more about the 2nd Missouri Cavalry Regiment, better known as “Merrill’s Horse.”

This event will take place in the Capitol rotunda and will feature representatives from the museum, as well as members of the Sons of Union Veterans’ Lillie Camp #6. The program is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register.
