Make your campsite reservations now for the 2027 Dutch Oven Cooking Contest Weekend! Participate in the contest, learn new recipes, and make new friends!
Prizes will be awarded for the best youth and adult entry in each of the following categories: main dish, soup and chili, dessert, sides, and bread. Each contestant may enter up to five dishes.
There are fees associated with camping at the park, but the event itself is free.
Weekend Schedule:

| Sep 17 | After 3 p.m. | Check in to your reserved campsite. Dust off your Dutch ovens and organize your supplies. |
| Sep 18 | 11 a.m. | Meet under the big tent at the front of the campground for a Dutch oven cooking demonstration led by the park superintendent. |
| Before noon | Submit your entries for judging at the big tent. Winners will be announced once judging is finished. | |
| After the announcement of winners | Stick around the tent for a potluck with your fellow contestants and campers. Try some of the other entries, as well as dishes made by the park superintendent. | |
| Sep 19 | Before 2 p.m. | Pack up and head home with new recipes to try at your next campout. |
