History Hike

Join park staff for an informative hike along the North Loop of Thompson River Trail.
We will meet at the equestrian parking lot at 10 a.m. and hike in a clockwise direction. We will stop at the Thompson cemetery and the Thompson house and discuss the history of both features. Once we reach the Thompson house, you will have the option to hike back to the parking lot on your own or hike the remainder of the loop with park staff. The North Loop has a total distance of 3.7 miles.
This event is free and open to the public; there is no need to register. Participants should bring water and wear closed-toe shoes. The equestrian parking lot is located on Dove Lane, northwest of Trenton. The GPS coordinates are 40.11181, -93.69333.
