Bald Eagle Days

at Roaring River State Park

Join park staff on Jan. 10 or Feb. 14 to look for and learn about bald eagles. When water sources freeze in the north, bald eagles migrate south in search of food and water. With a constant supply of flowing water an abundance of fish, Roaring River an ideal location for these iconic raptors.

Stop by the CCC Lodge anytime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to participate in eagle-themed crafts, get eagle information, and use park-supplied spotting scopes and binoculars. We will also have warm beverages for you to enjoy.

This program is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register. Be sure to dress warmly, and consider bringing water, snacks and a camera. You are also welcome to bring scopes and binoculars of your own.
