First Day Hike

Start the new year off right with a guided hike on Tall Oaks Trail. This moderately difficult hike will start at the Shelter 3 parking lot and then loop through the middle of the park before ending back at the parking lot. We will cover approximately 3.2 miles over the course of two hours.
Tall Oaks Trail traverses a variety of habitats and provides opportunities to see wildlife. Participants should dress for the weather and bring water and snacks. The hike is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome, but the trail is not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
Registration is required and can be completed using the link provided here. If the hike is canceled, an announcement will be emailed to registrants and posted on the park's Facebook page and the Park and Site Status Map.
